YoYoExpert - Polyester

About:

Every yoyo player knows YoYoExpert, no exceptions. YYE is run by Andre Boulay, former YoYoJam team member and National Yoyo Master. Since they started, YoYoExpert has released their own line of string. This review is on their Standard Polyester strings.

Packaging:

YoYoExpert 100% Polyester (Poly) strings are packaged in a plastic baggy stapled together with a modest card on the inside.

Review:

In my opinion, these YoYoExpert Poly strings are geared towards players who can not spend lots of money on strings. I would not recommend these strings to someone unless they gave me a low price range. I do not really care for these strings for a few reasons: 1) they do not last nearly as long as other company's strings, 2) they are way too short (43in.) for me, so I always have to go for their Extra Long option (59in.) and pay the extra money, 3) the overall feel of the strings is not up to par with the other options on the market.

However, if you are a player who does not want to spend too much money on strings, somewhat on the shorter side of people, and do not care about how long the strings last or what they feel like as long as they work, these strings will suit you just fine.

As I started my yoyoing career, these strings and the other YYE option for unresponsive play, Slick 6 strings, were the only strings available in my price range. Due to this, I never really got to know strings too well and was not expecting such a difference in quality.

Conclusion:

I really like YoYoExpert, Andre Boulay, and the rest of the crew in all ways except for one. I just do not like these strings now that I have played higher quality strings.
