Blueprint String - First Impression

Thank you to somebody who does not want his name shared, I now have some Blueprint strings by surprise. He originally offered me some YoyoStringLab Ammo, Type X, and Venom (which I also received), but surprised me with a gift of Blueprints.

On another note, YoYoExpert just restocked these Blueprint strings along with some Werrd yoyos. The hype for the strings was almost more than the actual yoyos. Therefore, I am glad I got some to try if they are that good. I must say, these strings deserved the hype.

About:

I do not know much about Blueprint strings, but I have heard of them before. They are strings made by Werrd and are 100% polyester strings made specifically for competition.

First Impression Review:

As already mentioned, Blueprint strings are made of polyester and are made for competitions. These strings are thicker than I am used to, for sure. They have a rough feel on the fingers, caused by the material they are made from. I have only used them for a short while, but they look and feel like they will last a while (I will be making a full review when I run out of them; I do not have too many of them). Blueprint strings hold their tension really well. I rarely have to adjust the string tension at all.

The only problem with them is their thickness. I started out using this string on one of my Amplified Shouts, but the gap was too thin and I had to switch to using my signature yoyo, the GN Phoenix, which has a wider gap. Now, the problem is fixed and I love this string.

Another nice thing about Blueprint strings is that they are almost heavy. They felt like they had a slight bit more weight to them than the other strings I have tried. This helped the string kind of flow more easily for slack and whips and gave it a unique feel.

Unfortunately, the color of the string I have is Blue, so it is hard for me to see it well. I hate using strings that are not yellow. Of course, I do not count this as a negative towards the string in any way, because I am sure that the yellow strings are just like any other ones.

Comparison:

Someone mentioned that they would like to see how I thought these strings compared to the other ones I have written a review for. In response, these strings are definitely thicker strings than what I am used to, but other than that, they are right up to par with all the other strings I have written reviews for. With the price in consideration, these strings are as good as, if not better, than Kitty, Rad, Buddha, YoYoExpert, and other brands' strings.

Conclusion:

Overall, these are really nice strings and I will probably get some for myself sometime if they ever release in smaller quantities. Currently, they are only available in 100 packs for $14 each pack, which is an incredible price for these. In conclusion, great strings by Werrd.

Thanks for reading,

Paul
