YoyoStringLab - Ammo - First Impression

Thanks to someone who does not want his name published, I received a bunch of strings free of charge that I can write a review about. This is my first impression review for the YYSL Ammo.

About:

I actually do not know anything about YoyoStringLab other than the fact that they are a company that makes strings. I believe they have a small clothing line as well, but I am not positive about this fact.

These Ammo strings are signature of Johnnie DelValle.

Review:

First off, these strings are thick! I thought Blueprint strings were thick, but these are really thick. I find that they are similar to the Rad Fat string in size. However, Ammo strings are better. They hold their tension a lot better, they are heavier and whip better, and they feel pretty durable. Another similarity with Rad Fat strings is how soft the Ammo strings feel from the beginning.

After some more thought, I find these strings to be really close to Type X, just thicker, which is what I think YYSL was going for.

Conclusion:

Sorry for the short review, but I have only been trying these for a couple of days, so I can not write about them too much.

In conclusion, these strings are really thick, but they are still great strings.

Thanks for reading, Paul
